Meet Our 2025-2026 Elected Board

President
Chris Stewart

I’m Chris Stewart, a proud mother of five and happily married to my Marine for 23 wonderful years. I am an alumni of Washington State University (Go Cougs!) and worked in the fitness industry for 10 years before becoming a stay at home mom. In 2007, I began my journey serving the military community as a Key Volunteer. That experience sparked my passion for volunteering, and since then, I’ve dedicated countless hours to various organizations and non-profits, taking on leadership roles and board positions to better help support our military spouse community.

When I'm not hanging out with my family or working on QSSC business, I love to read, travel, visit Disney parks, and play board games. I'm always down for a fun adventure with friends, too!

I’m thrilled to be serving as the QSSC president again this year and look forward to a wonderful year with everyone as we grow our roots and bloom together!

Vice-President
Amanda Butucel

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a proud Navy wife of more than 20 years and an even prouder mom to a brand-new Appalachian State freshman. I’m also an avid national park loving, true-crime sleuth that enjoys seeking out the perfect cup of cold-brew while waiting patiently for a chance to watch some hockey; GO CAPS! For the past seven years, my family and I have called the DMV home, where I’ve found joy volunteering with base youth, this wonderful club, and most recently serving as a Navy command ombudsman.

This ever-evolving military lifestyle holds such a special place in my heart—it’s taught me the value of resilience, friendship, and lifting each other up. I’m so excited to bring those qualities and that spirit to QSSC this year as your Vice President.

Treasurer
Jeanette Eshoo

HI! I’m Jeanette Eshoo. I’ve been a member of QSSC for three years and this is my second year as Treasurer. I’m wife to my retired Marine hubby, Rich; stepmom to Brittney and Alex, a FMF Navy Corpsman, Gigi to Aaron and MacKenzie and fur mama to Anastasia.

I work as a Program Manager for a Not-for-Profit and do freelance bookkeeping for a local farm. I am an avid reader, cook and crafter. Originally from PA, I’ve lived in the Stafford area for seventeen years.

Fun fact: During the pandemic I read fifty-eight books; lost twenty-five pounds and mastered a dozen recipes.
