Sonserae Martinez, President
Sonserae Martinez has been a Marine Corps spouse for 23 years. She has enjoyed different seasons of life as part of the Marine Corps family and continues to look forward to what the next chapter of Marine Corps life brings. She and her Marine also have a son, who will be a senior in high school next year. Sonserae is a former classroom teacher and still has a great passion for teaching children. She loves to host friends and family in their home and serves as a volunteer at church. Sonserae currently serves as secretary for the Quantico Spouses Social Club and heads up the Sipping w/ Friends sub club. Throughout her time as a Marine Corps spouse, she has participated in many spouse clubs as a volunteer and board member. She has also been a L.I.N.K.S mentor and while stationed at Kings Bay Submarine Base, she created and helped incorporate MCSFBn 101 for spouses (Marine Security Force Battalion). This course helped new spouses and seasoned spouses to navigate military life while networking with other spouses. Sonserae loves to read, craft, paddle board, hike, cook/bake, spend time with family and friends, and is a Halloween and Harry Potter enthusiast. She believes it takes a village to navigate the military lifestyle and is always ready to serve, collaborate, and have good fun with other Marine Corps Spouses.
